It's difficult to follow without any way to visualize, also requires understanding of Jupyter because it's not like writing code of a program

Examples are too far off from reality? I don't see why anyone would apply this in practice. Also, what is the point of having to copy the functions from the lesson to the notebook if you never taught how or why to use them?
