In the register login section, I used a weak password at first and nothing happened. No error was displayed. In the web developer console log, it read: "Possibly unhandled rejection: {"code":"auth/weak-password","message":"Password should be at least 6 characters"}"

Creating the firebase project did not match instructions. It's "Add a project" and then you copy in credentials and it fails. Then you try again, you can see the project name you just tried in a list. If you pick it from here, it includes a "directory" which you didn't have the first time. Then you are prompted to choose a billing plan (which gave me considerable hesitation). If you accept the billing plan it works.
