JDK 8 is not readily available in this Debian version. JDK11 is available, however the test project is configured on 1.8. Work around is to get jdk8 from deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian sid main

the java install didn't work, so I had to use a work around.

last step didn't validate properly. The app was running, I got the response from the app in the browser window but the check kept saying the project wasn't running

default lab instructions do not work. VM creation needs to choose Debian 9. last step on checking gce instances got an error.

it should be specified to downgrade to Debian 9 from 10 to have the lab working, else javaJdk 8 is not available for Debian 10

Good except the default Debian 10 doesn't support openjdk8.

It should specify Debian 9, otherwise its not working with Debian 10 because of the java version that's gonna be installed

Lost a lot of time with missing step that should have said that Debian 9 instead of 10 is required.
