I encountered the following error while running the lab "The user does not have access to service account '670284997253-compute@developer.gserviceaccount.com'. User: 'google2482428_student@qwiklabs.net'. Ask a project owner to grant you the iam.serviceAccountUser role on the service account". It prevented me from completing the lab.

permission problems makes it where the lab cannot be completed. Lab appears cool and well thought out; however, with permission problems it's not a very pleasant experience.

Your new load balancer (web-lb) is not yet configured. To complete the initial set up add a global forwarding rule and configure at least one backend service. Created instance task 2 but the service account permission to create the instance isn't allowed. unable to modify the user to have permission to use the service account. Unable to modify resource manager. couldn't figure it out.
