Had to use internal ip to ping vms as vm name could not be resolved despite following instructions. Either some config or a step is missing

The ping mynet-eu-vm did not work from mynet-us-vm ssh session. I followed all the instructions as-is and even double checked. There seems to either an issue with google network or with the instructions set. Very poor experience
