I think there is an error in the "Verify routes between networks" part, it says: "Notice that there is a route for each subnet in mynetwork with peering-1-2 as the Next hop. If you switch to privatenet, notice that there is a route for each subnet in privatenet with peering-2-1 as the Next hop." But it should say "Notice that there is a route for each subnet in *privatenet* with peering-1-2 as the Next hop. If you switch to privatenet, notice that there is a route for each subnet in *mynetwork* with peering-2-1 as the Next hop." Please check this.
