lab registered on premises gke/anthos cluster to NOT the project_id that qwiklabs assigned to me. I'll try this lab again tomorrow

Couldn't connect to GKE on-prem from cloud shell, used setup VM as a workaround.

You need to fix the "Task 1" section. Firewall needs to be created on a proper network.
