Haha. That was a disappointment in the end. Yes, the index.html was persisted for the pod that statefulset recreated, but it wasn't shared with the other two pods in the loadbalanced service (when I execed sh to the other pod, the index.html wasnt there). What is the usefulness of such setup in real life? It would have been interesting to see, how you share the persisted html directory between pods that serve loadbalanced traffic.
