Satisfied. However, my $GCP_PROJECT needed to be updated to show my project ID info. It had [core] project = my project ID data and that did not work with the scripts. I updated it to my project ID and then it worked.

The `/kickstart` directory took a really long time to appear, like 30 minutes. It appeared after I restarted the VM with `sudo shutdown -r`, but I don't know if that helped or was casual.
