Several things were weird in this lab. The messaging around the app engine's URL is inconsistent...the URL in the console has a longer FQDN than the lab says - it's no longer just projectId.appspot.com. so that led to some confusion. The Cloud Editor tool lost its mind when pylint couldn't find the Python module. I lost some minutes trying to figure out if this was an actual problem or just an issue with the linter that I didn't actually care about. Finally, it seems that some safety checks have been put into place in the console that affect the flow of this tutorial. For example, you can't delete your email notification channel if it's still in use by the alerting policy. Might want to give this course another run-through and update it to reflect current working conditions.
