it did not work. creating the cluster hung for ages and then eventually i reloaded and tried to run "kubectl create deploy nginx --image=nginx:1.17.10" and it gave me "error: failed to create deployment: Post "http://localhost:8080/apis/apps/v1/namespaces/default/deployments?fieldManager=kubectl-create&fieldValidation=Strict": dial tcp 127.0.0.1:8080: connect: connection refused"
