deleting my e-mail from the notification channel did not work. I had to disable the Uptime check, delete the policy and then it was possible to delete the e-mail from notification channel

1. The lab underestimates how long it takes for Uptime Checks and Alerts to detect that something is wrong or recovered. These processes can take a few minutes each. 2. Steps 22-24 are backwards. You cannot delete your email before you delete the Alerting Policy because you get an error that the email is "referenced by" the Alerting Policy.
