"delete your notification channel" gave error : Could not delete "projects/qwiklabs-gcp-01-02825baacaf1/notificationChannels/9934867048204774174" because it is still being referenced by: "projects/qwiklabs-gcp-01-02825baacaf1/alertPolicies/425606760470732782" Also deleting "App Engine Uptime check" gave similar error.

The last step of deleting the Notification Channel needs an additional step: deleting the alert policy first. You can't remove the notification channel while there's still a policy associated with it. Other than that everything worked as described.
