As far as I know, I followed the steps meticulously. But, the lab found that I was not obeying rules. Even if a step was wrong, nobody would do it intentionally. If there is a wrong step, there could be one of two explanations. The student is wrong. Or the instructions are ambiguous. If the student is wrong, then it would help not committing the same mistake, if he/she was told what was the wrong step.
