SSH connectivity to VMs with no external IP was problematic throughout the lab. The IAP tunnel and OS Login key setup did not work as expected from Cloud Shell, requiring workarounds like startup scripts to complete tasks. The instructions assume SSH just works but don't account for permission denied issues.
