Two issues: 1. Even though I had given the necessary steps in the startup script, it didn't seem to have installed the necessary software and started the apache2 server. I had to later manually do it. 2. Probably because of the above, the /var/www/html file didn't exist. So, I had to "sudo mkdir -p /var/www/html" to create it.
