1. Objectives The goal of this lab was to deploy a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) on a Google Compute Engine instance using Cloud Marketplace. 2. Steps Performed Step 1: Navigated to Google Cloud Console → Cloud Marketplace. Step 2: Searched for "Bitnami LAMP Stack" and selected it. Step 3: Clicked "LAUNCH" and configured the deployment: Deployment name: lamp-instance-1 Region: us-central1 Zone: us-central1-a Machine type: e2-micro (free tier eligible) Step 4: Clicked "Deploy" and waited approximately 2–3 minutes. Step 5: Once deployed, noted the external IP address (e.g., 34.123.45.67). Step 6: Opened a web browser and visited http://34.123.45.67. 3. Results Obtained Component Result Deployment Status Successful External IP 34.123.45.67 (example) Apache Default Page Displayed correctly SSH Access Working via Compute Engine SSH LAMP Version PHP 7.4, MySQL 8.0, Apache 2.4 4. Observations The Bitnami LAMP stack deployed in one click without manual configuration. The instance was pre-configured with all necessary components. Access to phpMyAdmin was also available at http://<IP>/phpmyadmin. 5. Conclusion Cloud Marketplace simplifies deployment of complex software stacks. The LAMP stack was successfully deployed and accessible via web browser. This lab demonstrated how quickly a web development environment can be provisioned on Google Cloud.
