Persisted both derived tables. The lab instructions are flawed since the database trigger parameter only returns no LookML warnings on the order_details_summary (ndt), but the lab says to use the order_details (sdt) to verify the explore no longer uses an ephemeral CTE. I used persist_for and made order_details refresh or regenerate every 1 hour. That will cause the table to drop after 1 hour and until a user runs an explore against it. Maybe it was a test since there was some discussion of best practice in that regard.
