Bad practice naming conventions: Use of the single word "clustermaker" for multiple objects in the same project can be confusing. And use of "new X" would get you a downcheck in any of my classes. :)

Installing Hadoop cluster was troublesome because of the restrictions on the unique id. The instructions weren't clear on the naming restrictions and I wasted quite a bit of time troubleshooting Hadoop error logs.
