You need to separate the explanations and background information from the actual steps. The fact that you created a simply html file on the desktop and simply opened it using by double clicking on it in filemanager took several reads to figure out what it was you were trying to do. it appears the change the grand canyon view was cached somewhere else, like my corporate web proxies.
