I successfully configured WordPress to use Cloud SQL but I am still not getting 100. Finally, I had to contact support and Deepak gave me the steps... which is weird, they look the same as what I did except much is done in Cloud Shell

not correct validation for step 3 - Check that the blog instance is authorized to access Cloud SQL for correct connection setup (specific IP of portal instance) i was not able to pass, only after try with full range access 0.0.0.0/0 i was able to pass

Now i know how to migrate the sql instance to cloud sql , It is super easy , just few clicks and you are up and running

As the db is maria db, I was unable to follow the steps given in this blog.
