It was not clear whether the authroisation is via publicip or privateip. spend quite a lot of time in trying to enable privateip connection and lost much time in that process.

I was able to connect to the SQL instance using gcloud sql commands, but not able using mysql commands. Blog is broken yet i was awarded the last 20 points because there is a http response but it states ad database connection"
