It was fun spending an hour configuring a MySQL database!!! ...not. I had a plethora of issues with this lab: -I couldn't log in as blogadmin. Was getting a ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'blogadmin'@'localhost' (using password: YES). I had to log in as root to even start touching the database. - I had to enable binary logging, and I couldn't do that in time. I ended up following a suggestion to run `mysqld --log-bin=bin.log` to try and enable binary logging, and I could no longer connect through socket. - I tried running the command suggested here to do a dump: https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/mysql/replication/replication-from-external and Couldn't run the dump. Also saw this message: "You must use a version of mysqldump that supports the --set-gtid-purged flag." Seriously, if you want us to complete this lab, why not give us a database that we don't have to configure? I get this is expert level, but this is ludicrous. If you really want us to do all these steps, I suggest at least 2 hours of time, if not 3.

Password is wrong. It's 'Password1*' and not 'Password1'.

Great lab content! i was able to completed it on the second attempt. Not sure if the password in the instructions was on purpose different than the one in the config file. The actual password contains an extra *.

There are just some bugs with this lab. First is, that the wrong password is given for the blogadmin user. The second one is, that even I have done everything, the Check in the middle, the 3rd failed. It is: Check that the blog instance is authorised to access Cloud SQL. How is it possible, that this one failed even the 4th and 5th did not. Even I added the Lab-Monitor Instance, the Check failed.
