faced issue with RDP connection to vm-bastionhost using cloud console but worked using my laptop windows remote desktop manager - used the same to complete the IIS configuration related tasks. I had spent a lot of time checking my configurations for VM, firewall etc & stopping/staring the VMs.

I have created vm-bastionhost and allowed RDP port. I was able to RDP into the bastionhost and remote into the other vm as well. But still task create vm-bastionhost was not able to verify
