1. The "A Windows compute instance called vm-bastionhost exists that has a public ip-address to which the TCP port 3389 firewall rule applies." progress check will not fire if you have created a default RDP firewall rule while creating a VPC network and a subnet. Instead, a firewall rule with a target tag must be created and the corresponing VM must be tagged with this taarget tag, which was not stated explicitly. The progress check error messages are not informative. 2. The Windows Server 2016 boot disk image comes without IIS preinstalled, you have install it yourself, which was not stated explicitly as well. The corresponding progress check fails without any error message, not even uninformative one.

Was able to login to secure host, however there is no IIS Admin Service (Microsoft IIS) found in the service.
