The instruction loses some information. Because the VMs should be in us-central1, if you already create a subnet in other region, it can't be used. (not mentioned until you met it) It also requires you have a RDP software. Cloud Shell does not have it. And all the other tasks are done, but the fourth (bastion host) checkpoint is failed.
