The instructions provided at the beginning, before the 1st step to create the cluster, as "general guidelines" - it's not clear that they apply directly to that 1st step. Then if you don't include those configurations in the 1st step, the cluster (1st try) never started up or (2nd try) took forever to start up but couldn't handle running the service. Could maybe be more clear. In general, the GKE labs have been very good.
