I have to try this for four time and this is the reason your first task does not get 40% completion. If you create the cluster from Cloud Console it will not detect the cluster information. Please try to create the cluster using command prompt in cloud shell. Then it will detect the cluster information and mark as 40%

Please chcek this lab as it can not determine the custer specification. Even after creating a cluster with 2 nodes of n1-standard-2 in us-central1-c zone. It is giving error message "Create a zonal cluster with two(2) nodes of type n1-standard-2". As a result each time the % of completion is stopped at 90%.
