After 3 tries, successfully completed. Clearly the lab had a bug while testing "simulate traffic" or vpc flow log bigquery pattern check is very strict. In earlier two failed attempt I was putting query like below SELECT jsonPayload.src_instance.zone AS src_zone, jsonPayload.src_instance.vm_name AS src_vm, jsonPayload.dest_instance.zone AS dest_zone, jsonPayload.dest_instance.vm_name FROM .... and this time I put it like below SELECT jsonPayload.src_instance.zone AS src_zone, jsonPayload.src_instance.vm_name AS src_vm, jsonPayload.dest_instance.zone AS dest_zone, jsonPayload.dest_instance.vm_name FROM ... So probably this format of putting query in bigquery was the reason my last two attempt faliure.
