The example code does the job but it seems to have a design flaw where each Cloud Run instance has a separate pubsub subscription. This means that if three instances are launched then all three try to convert the same file. Two fail with errors and one succeed. You either need to limit the code to running a single instance or ensure that the instances share a single pubsub subscription.
