Some steps are not very clear and even if the cloud run rest-api service was running, my progress were not registered and I didn't understand why. Maybe a tip to guide through troubleshooting would be helpful

My suggestion is to update the lab 1) to remove references to Container Registry (deprecated) and use Artifact Registry instead, and 2) to specify any requirements of the Artifact Registry repository that will be taken into account by the automated validation, for example to use multiregional "gcr.io" repository instead of a regional one.
