Classic load balancer took nearly 20 minutes to finally work (please update text) and now provides the public DNS immediately - so there is no indication in the AWS console when the URL is working. More importantly, there is no way to see that traffic is hitting one instance or the other. There is no access to monitoring, and both instances return the same text. If the page text was "Test Website 1" and "Test Website 2", which could be confirmed by browsing to the instance DNS (also would be nice to have access instead of having to copy it out of the instance row). Then reloading the load balanced URL would return the instance so that you could actually see that it is hitting both instances.
