EC2 instance should be windows so that we could easily find out visually what was happening

Viewing the lab instructions as a PDF was a little tacky, and the time/connection/adl. info bar was awkwardly placed so at first, so it took me a few seconds to figure out what was going on. Other than this User Experience issue though, the lab content was quite good.
