I had a lot of trouble initially setting up the lab. In the create a logs-based metric section, I did it several times and saw that it worked but I never go through the checkpoint. Kept bringing me to legacy logs viewer rather than logs explorer. So, very frustrating, especially since I don't have a technical background.

Steps well described but the milestones check require exact match on some fields without saying it explicitly (for instance, the name of the alerting policy).

nice hands-on experience. gives a taste of how things work. the alert refresh rate is still slow but bearable for the demo.
