While I really enjoyed the lab I did have one problem. On the create metrics portion for a custom metric there is a required filter field. Since there was no specification in the instructions I went with a really generic filter that just was to point at the correct resource and nothing else. Pretty sure that is what caused trouble with getting my dashboard working though.
