For some reason, "aws ec2 describe-images" returns "killed". Luckily the AMIID for the t2.micro worked as written.

For some reason, my SSH connection was refused (public key). That's never happened before! So I did the lab via the console. The instructions should tell students to look up the appropriate AMI for their region (either via the console or with a detailed set of steps to achieve via the CLI)
