Pipeline provisioning spent over 30 minutes and never completed; ended lab and will restart to see if that fixes the error Even after restarting lab; again provisioning failed to complete within the timeframe of the lab After extensive debugging I found several flaws in the instructions; Dataproc admin role was granted to the compute service account instead of the data fusion service account. Furthermore, the pipeline configuration defaulted to an autoscaler dataproc config, which caused the provisioning to hang. Finally, dataproc worker role was not granted to the compute service account. After making these changes, i was finally able to provision the dataproc cluster, successfully run the pipeline, and finish the lab.
