The lab setup is broken. Task 2 requires creating 'europe-west1-template' with a global location, but the project’s default network restricts resources to 'us-east1'. Neither the Cloud Console nor the gcloud CLI allows assigning the required European subnetwork due to this regional mismatch, making it impossible to complete the lab.
