when i want to create the 2nd instance group and i want to select instance template i have the error that Instance template us-east1-template Required subnetwork is only present on us-central1

This has lab been by far the most difficult and tedious. The browser kept crashing when I tried to enter metadata through the UI. Also, I had to restart the lab more than halfway through, after creating the load balancer, because I had forgotten to change the region of the instance template to Global in the first step and there is no way to edit an instance template in place, and everything after that steps depends on the instance template's being properly created. More detailed feedback early on could have prevented this.
