Internal IP pings failed. No routes were created. Routers turned green and I gave them 10 minutes afterwards to sort themselves out. During router creation there was a red box with something arcane indicating that additonal steps where needed to enable BGP but were not covered in the lab. It looks like this lab is out-of-date.

many of the initial steps have already been reviewed in previous labs. it would have been more efficient if the VMs and firewalls were already set up, and this lab focused on the cloud router.
