the lab did not work, the VMs were not able to communicate, the VPNs were reporting successful connectivity but the VMs were not able to discover each other. also the instructions are out of date, there is no longer a section called interconnect but rather hyper connect

The steps to configure Cloud Router have moved to "Hybrid Connectivity" >> Cloud Router"

In the "Create the cloud routers" step, Interconnect is now "Hybrid Connectivity" in GCP in both steps 1 and 4. For step 5, it mentions a green check mark, but no check marks appear on that screen so Google may have changed.
