Encountered one error after another. Region selected (at first default selected) would not complete build. On third try got it run. found myself outside of the screens in the course material. VM was set up as part of the build vs a separate step. SSH would not connect, attempted several times. after 40 minutes logged out of Google account. would not recommend or try again.

takes a very long time to find a region with resource available to deploy kafka onto; the 'check topics' thing failed despite the deployments being successful
