The lab was a very useful and practical learning experience for understanding Google Cloud and its various services. The step-by-step structure made it easier to follow the concepts and perform the tasks directly in the Google Cloud Console and Cloud Shell. I especially liked that the lab provided hands-on experience instead of only explaining the theory, because it helped me understand how cloud services are actually configured and used in real-world scenarios. The instructions were generally clear and well organized, and the practical tasks helped me become more comfortable with services such as BigQuery, Cloud Shell, APIs, serverless services, and other Google Cloud resources. Working with an actual temporary cloud project also gave me a better understanding of authentication, project configuration, commands, permissions, and resource management. One of the most valuable parts of the lab was being able to execute commands and immediately see the results. This made it easier to identify mistakes and understand how different commands affect cloud resources. The lab also helped improve my confidence in using the Google Cloud Console and command-line tools, which are important skills for students interested in cloud computing, software development, data science, and DevOps. At the same time, a few areas could be improved. Some instructions could provide more explanation about why a particular command or configuration is required, rather than only telling the learner what to enter. When an authentication, permission, API, or configuration error occurs, beginners may find it difficult to understand what went wrong or how to troubleshoot it. Adding short explanations of common errors and their solutions would make the lab much more beginner-friendly. It would also be helpful to include a small explanation before each major task describing the objective and the expected result. This would allow learners to understand the purpose of each step instead of simply following commands. More checkpoints or validation messages could also help learners confirm that their configuration is correct before moving to the next section. Overall, this was an excellent hands-on lab that provided practical exposure to Google Cloud technologies. It improved my understanding of cloud concepts, command-line usage, resource configuration, APIs, and troubleshooting. The experience was especially valuable because it connected theoretical concepts with real cloud infrastructure. With slightly clearer explanations, better troubleshooting guidance, and more context around the commands, the lab could become even more effective for beginners. I would definitely recommend this type of practical lab to students who want to build real-world cloud and technology skills.
