The lab didn't explain much, just accepted all defaults. Also, it didn't work, as it was stuck in "pending" when I launched the instance. Couldn't attempt to reconnect.

It's not clear from the tutorial if I'll have the connection drop down available to download the PEM file. So if it's not there when I create my own instances, I don't know where I will get the PEM file.
