The VM took a long time to deploy (10+ minutes). I was able to deploy a second VM in a different region that went quickly.

I found that I had to change the EC2 setting to force creation of a public IP for the instance.

Some of the documentation doesn't match the menu options in the EC2 launch or creation sections. However, it was intuitive to find. Great lab module
