The instance would not connect. It was just initializing the whole time. Pretty worthless.

Not enough time to explore the console, I wasted time trying to find the "Connect" items. The Lab window is too small. I could not find where to maximize it. Overall, it was OK though.

you should make a list of every specific web browser which your QA has certified operates with your lesson. If the user's web browser is not on your list, you should warn the user to run one of the certified browsers on your list. You should leave up a permanent amazon server instance and tell students to test ssh access to your amazon instance URL which allows the student to ssh in, prints a success message then terminates the student's ssh session. Tell the student to resolve any ssh issues before starting the lesson or move to a network without firewall issues, like a home ISP.
