There was some confusion about finding the public DNS . It wasnt clear tht you can only find it after the instance is launched.

One stumbling block was that how you find your Public DNS was buried in the Windows section, but it applies to all the operating systems. Otherwise, pretty good.

This lab provides only minimal self-efficacy for a new user (it shows them that they can start one), but it doesn't realistically provide adequately instruction to assist someone in how to make configuration decisions based upon their own use case requirements. I recommend that the actions performed in this lab are followed-up with a more detailed examination into the reasons behind the configuration decisions executed in the lab, as well as an exploration into the alternatives that were not chosen in the lab. Example real-world scenarios for configuring and starting an EC2 instance based on varying requirements would be a good follow-up exercise.

A possible bug encountered: the instruction specify to use *.pem key, however when using putty to ssh to the created AMZN linux instance, the *.pem does not while *.ppk key works.
