The .PEM/PPK key instructions seem to be wrong ... there is not "Connection Settings" or Download button in the Popup window when you hit Connect on the EC2 instance ... So could not download the private kaey .PEM or PPK file . Very frustrating.

the directions were a little off, chmod 600 on the pem file should have been chmod 400.

good information - should allow for longer access as the ec2 instance can take 10min+ to finish configuration from launch.
