Can't deploy the application in the current environment. Prompts to select a region when doing initial gcloud app deploy. Selecting a region is met with an error that an app already exists and you can't proceed with the lab.

the metrics part was fine, but the check progress button did not work, did not validate that i finished that part

Instruction "Click Authorize" - there is no obvious "Authorize" link visible. Instruction "Click Activate Cloud Shell" - there is no text saying that. Instead a tiny icon, not obvious. Trying to upload images via the Add Book page gave a 500 error. Trying to validate I'd passed the test to add a metric named "latency_metric" failed. The real name seemed to have been saved as "/logging/user/latency_metric". So wasn't able to complete that task. Many instructions incomplete, referring to steps not yet available until you completed something else. At one point the console asked to pick from one of 17 servers, this wasn't mentioned in the instructions. Picking one of them failed. Picking another one worked, was I just lucky. Instructions could have had more screenshots; often hard to find various links and menu items in the very cluttered Google screens. In particular the one at the top to activate the console that is just a ">" icon. Couldn't complete the lab because of all the problems and time wasted, got an email saying I'd done 0% of it.
