Real fire drill... I finished it first time. 3 mins before stop. Number of unexpected challenges, some can be easier. Cloud SQL - this is pain. gcloud does not want to authenticate root over non-SSL connection and does not allow as simple passwords as lab requires. In 2 hours lab it was very challengeable to get everything running. So I would at least. give 'allow unencrypted network traffic' as a hint. I think also password policy may be hinted or lab should have more complex password meeting normal level of password complexity / length (I would prefer this). Spet huge time here before I discovered how to replace gcloud on SQL connection without SSL (proxy) and how to deal with the database creation sequence. I was really lucky that everything else worked as expected first time. Even the fact that I changed other user role while setting up cloud sql instance mattered.
